Can I bring my pet?

Oaks Canopy gives you the freedom to enjoy a number of resident perks, one of those being bringing your beloved pet with you! Oaks Canopy is proud to be pet friendly building (max two per home), all we ask is that residents apply for approval prior to bringing an animal into or onto the property (aside from a fish or reptile in a fish tank). This will be outlined during the application process.

How do I arrange deliveries?

To ensure convenient and secure deliveries, Oaks Canopy has been fitted with Smart Lockers on the ground floor by "MyParcelLockers". To access, simply use the Oaks app and follow the simple instructions. Oaks also has a mail room with storage which can be accessed by couriers during business hours - our lovely Concierge can also help if required.

Who was Oaks Canopy built by?

Oaks Canopy was built by Milin Builders and developed by Amalgamated Property Group and Base Developments. Amalgamated and Base have found continued success in their strong business relationship that spans over 20 years and many successful projects. The duo is also the team behind the delivery of Oaks Arbour, Oaks Crown towers and Ivy in this precinct.

What is the Oaks Canopy app, how will it benefit me?

Our customised Oaks app is your digital assistant for everything from leasing administration through to building and apartment door access, book your move-in, report maintenance issues, connect utilities, use the smart lockers and more. It's also your quick and easy way to chat with Concierge, find emergency contacts, read the Residents Handbook to answer your questions, access appliance manuals and everything else to make daily living in Oaks a breeze.

Does Oaks have smart lock access for my apartment?

It certainly does - and you're going to love the convenience it adds! The highly secure, state-of-the-art Novas system requires a one-time setup on your mobile, then granting you access to the building lobby and your apartment door based on your proximity, so no more worrying about getting your keys out while juggling the bags you're carrying.

Who can use the Serviced Apartments?

We have a small number of boutique style Serviced Apartments for short or long stays, with guests able to choose from Studio, 1 and 2-bedroom. This is a great way for your visiting friends or family to stay but without giving up your own space, and as a resident of Oaks Canopy, you're entitled to extra perks when booking for your loved ones - bonus! Please login to your Oaks Resident app to get more detail.

Where is the gym and how do I access this and the other amenities?

The gym is in an independent building, conveniently positioned between Oaks Canopy, Oaks Arbour and Oaks Crown as a common facility. Your access fob will grant you access to this and all of the other common areas on the ground floor of Oaks Canopy.

What are the hours of operation?

The Concierge and/or General Manager will be available Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm. The Canopy Cafe will be open for your caffeine fix from Monday to Friday, 7am to 2pm.

Renting in Oaks

How can the concierge help me?

Our friendly Concierge is on hand for any ad hoc things that pop up during your day - simply call to quickly get the answers you need, whether it be assistance with deliveries, using the building amenities or even helping your cleaner gain access into your home. The Concierge is a helping hand to ensure that daily living in Oaks is a breeze. The Concierge desk will be occupied between 7am-10am and 4pm-6pm, Monday to Friday.

Who is the building manager and how will they make my life easier?

The Building Manager is your go-to for any questions about the building and its operation. Being on the ground and within the building, this is a unique feature that you'll benefit from as a resident of Oaks, where their goal is to achieve resident satisfaction with proactive services and awesome customer service standards. Responsible for leasing, inspections, community relations, facilities enquiries and just generally anything that relates to how you enjoy living in Oaks, the Building Manager is someone you'll come to know and trust.

How much are the furniture packages and how do I enquire about one?

Furniture packages are available across a variety of apartments with pricing included in the weekly rent per home. Please ask our team for more information on pricing and availability - plus, these packages include essential whitegoods/appliances! This is an easy way to move-in without the stress of setting up, and with all the benefits of an interior designer's touch! The packages have been designed to commercial grade quality to ensure the furniture fits perfectly, is highly functional, durable and suits the style of the apartment finishes. In addition to furniture packages, any resident in any apartment can also purchase an Accessories and Styling pack which includes artwork and mirrors, floor rug, bedside lamps, cushions, decorative vases and more at a heavily discounted rate to the RRP. You have the opportunity to view the items in the display apartment, so please ask Concierge or the building manager for more info.

Do I get a carpark or storage cage with my lease?

You sure do! Each home includes one storage cage, and all One and Two Bedroom homes include an allocated basement carpark. But one of the benefits of Oaks' design is that if you need more, we can customise your lease to suit - simply ask the Building Manager for more info about how to add additional carparks or storage to your lease.

Can I extend my lease?

Certainly - if you're happy at Oaks Canopy, we'd like to keep it that way. We'll reach out to you as we approach your initial lease term expiry and at that point, we welcome a discussion about extending. This is a huge benefit of Oaks' model - because the whole building is owned by a long-term operator, individual apartments won't be sold. We're in it for the long haul, with tenant retention a definition of our success!

Can I book spaces for a personal event?

We have plenty of space to share, and we want our residents to use them. Bookable spaces include resident's communal entertainment room and the outdoor garden pavilion so that you can host personal events for your friends and family. Online booking is available using our Oaks resident app, simply check the live calendar and submit a request. These spaces include kitchenettes, large TV screen and plenty of seating. If you need a hand with arranging catering, we can assist with that too!

Can I use the business centre and library?

Of course, these are some of the perks and conveniences of living at Oaks. The business centre features numerous work stations complete with dual monitors and docking stations so you can plug in and get working, and two bookable meeting rooms with presentation facilities to work remotely without sacrificing technology. Adjacent to the business centre is one of the resident's lounge rooms, complete with fireplace, comfy lounges and plenty of ambience to relax with neighbours or colleagues. The library is a calm space to stay focused, your escape for reading, studying, or collaborating with colleagues.

Moving In

What is the move-in process? Can I book a lift?

We know that moving is stressful enough, so we're here to help where we can - and that begins with the resident app. After signing a lease, you can setup your app login so you can book your move-in day by reserving a lift just for you, so your removalist can get you into your home with efficiency. We even provide you with a list of recommended removalists offering discounted pricing for Oaks, and since they know the building well, your move should be simpler and less costly. We've also gone the extra mile and negotiated a discounted high-speed broadband plan just for Oaks residents, so connecting this and also your electricity is made easy through your resident app.

Can I move in whenever I like?

To ensure that you have assistance with the lift and so as not to disturb other residents, we require all move-ins to be between the hours of 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. All move-ins must be booked at least two days ahead of time so that we can ensure there are no conflicts in the lift bookings and make sure we can be available to help you on the day. As always, reach out to Concierge or the Building Manager if you have other questions or special requests!

Maintenance

How do I report a maintenance issue?

Oh no, something has gone wrong – unfortunately this happens occasionally! But don’t let it linger, jump onto your Oaks app to log any maintenance requests and our professional facilities team will get onto it quickly. A unique benefit of Oaks is that the Landlord designed and constructed this building to suit a rental community’s needs, to enable efficient maintenance procedures and minimise disruptions to residents. Our maintenance team will be prompt in attending, repairing and keeping you informed along the way – this is an importance highlight when comparing living in Oaks to a private rental!

Do I need to pay for repairs?

Generally, if you haven't caused any damage, then no. It is therefore important that all maintenance requests are only submitted via the residents app so that we can manage the process on your behalf. Prompt logging of issues is important to avoid additional damage being incurred which could result in additional costs.

Who do I call in an emergency?

In case of emergency, a list of key contacts is accessible inside your Oaks resident app so should something go seriously wrong, you've got someone you can call. All residents must be familiar with our Handbook to understand 'what is an emergency' to avoid unnecessary callouts being charged back to you.
